CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Planning and International Co-operation Rania al-Mashaat asserted the diverse Saudi investments in Egypt citing hundreds of Saudi companies operating in vital sectors in Egypt.
The minister said the government is looking forward to boosting partnerships and investment of the Saudi private sector.
Mashat made the remarks on Thursday during a meeting with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid A. Al-Falih and his accompanying delegation.
The talks tackled means of enhancing bilateral ties and partnerships, especially investments in top-priority sectors.
She said Egypt is determined to develop the investment climate and open up for local and foreign private sector to inject more investments.
The minister expounded that empowering the private sector is a catalyst for achieving sustainable growth in various sectors and creating more job opportunities.
Mashat added that the government seeks creating a competitive investment climate to lure investments, hence, improve financial and economic performance.
She highlighted the promising opportunities for local and foreign investments.
