Egyptian International Co-operation Minister Rania Mashat had talks on Wednesday with Abdullah A. Alsabeeh, Director General of the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman), on means of enhancing cooperation between the corporation and the Egyptian government – which is one of the contributors to the Dhaman.
The two sides discussed a mechanism of bilateral cooperation with regard to issuing dollar-dominated sovereign bonds.
During the meeting, Mashat underlined Egypt’s keenness on enhancing co-operation with Dhaman within the framework of promoting multilateral co-operation under the state’s development vision and efforts to implement the 2030 sustainable development agenda.
For his part, Alsabeeh stressed Dhaman’s keenness on enhancing co-operation with Egypt to incentivise Arab and foreign investments, support Arab exports and promote economic growth.
The Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman) is a pioneer multinational organisation that has provided guarantee services against commercial and non-commercial risks for the last four decades.
Established in April 1974 in Kuwait as the first multilateral investment guarantee provider in the world, Dhaman is owned by the governments of Arab states and 4 Arab financial institutions. Dhaman is highly rated by S&P since 2008, reflecting both Dhaman’s very strong business and financial profiles.
