CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of International Co-operation Rania Mashat described ongoing co-operation between Egypt and the European Union as “diverse and rich” and is meant to realise comprehensive sustainable development and upgrade the infrastructure.
During a conference on the economic partnership between Egypt and EU on Monday, she said the co-operation portfolio between the two sides included over one billion non-refundable grants in addition to 7 billion euros in soft loans for incentivizing the private sector.
She added that the conference offers a chance for bolstering international partnerships and enhancing bilateral and multilateral co-operation with Egypt.
The conference will witness the inking of several multilateral and unilateral cooperation agreements, she said, noting that the ministry has a portfolio of major development projects at 26 billion euros.
