Egypt’s Manpower Ministry stands fully ready to co-operate with all the entities, which share common national goals, and keen to support the ministry’s efforts in employment and training for youth, affirmed Minister Hassan Shehata.
The minister’s remarks came during his meeting on Wednesday with a delegation led by Chief of Mission of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Laurent de Boc.
During the meeting, Shehata discussed co-operation between his ministry and the IOM, within the framework of the project of “Toward a Holistic Approach to Labour Migration Governance and Labour Mobility in North Africa.”
In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry underlined the importance of co-operation with the IOM and benefiting from the international organisation in building institutional capabilities of the ministry’s employees in the English language.
For his part, the IOM chief congratulated Shehata for assuming his new post, adding that the IOM is ready to support the ministry in providing data about the available job opportunities abroad.
