Official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower Abdel Wahab Khedr has described Egypt’s exit from the black list of the International Labor Organization (ILO) as a positive step to boost the country’s investment process.

In a TV interview Sunday, he said this latest development would encourage investors to invest more in Egypt.

He said that Egypt held meetings with the ILO delegations to promote cooperation between the two sides.

Upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the government held negotiations with the employers and employees on the labor law, said the minister.

Minister of Manpower Hassan Shehata had said that Egypt will no longer be included in the long list of observations issued Friday by the ILO .

He stressed that this measure on the part of the ILO means that the Egyptian state is moving in the right direction towards strengthening labor relations in all its legislation, decisions and services that protect and care for its workers despite the challenges that the whole world is going through.
