Minister of Emigration Nabila Makram held a meeting on Wednesday with Sudanese Minister of Labour and Administrative Reform Suad al Tayeb Hassan.
The two sides exchanged views on immigration and means of enhancing bilateral co-operation, according to a statement by the ministry.
Makram underlined the depth of the Egyptian-Sudanese ties, hailing Sudan’s handling of the file of expats.
The minister welcomed co-operation with Sudan and exchanging expertise with regard to several files, reviewing Egypt’s experience in organising Egypt Can conferences.
She said the 6th Egypt Can conference will be launched by the end of May.
She also highlighted during the meeting Egypt’s efforts to address the return of Egyptian expats and joining of the Egyptian society.
She lauded the inspiring Sudanese experience in addressing the expats file.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese minister said the Egyptian Emigration Ministry has succeeded in addressing several files and Sudan considers it as a model of success.
