Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram said on Wednesday that the Egyptian community in France plays an important role in the French society.
During a meeting with French Ambassador in Cairo Marc Baréty, Makram reviewed efforts exerted by her ministry to implement the Life-Saving Boats initiative, announced by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in 2019.
She also made reference to conferences organized by her ministry to make use of expertise of Egyptian scientists abroad.
For his part, Baréty praised the development projects being witnessed by Egypt under the leadership of President Sisi.
The ambassador further expressed his country’s keenness to cooperate with Egypt in the field of illegal migration.
