Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maeet said Egypt’s implementation of the economic reform plan over the past years has strengthened its ability to counter internal and external challenges and absorb world crises.
The minister’s remarks were made during his meeting with Kazakhstan Ambassador in Cairo Khairat Lama Sharif.
During the meeting, Maeet said Egypt is looking forward to enhancing economic and trade ties between the two countries so as to cope up with the strong ties binding the two countries especially that this year marks the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Maeet also underlined the importance of promoting relations between the two countries’ businessmen through the chambers of commerce and businessmen councils so as to ensure an increase of the trade volume.
He asserted that the economic reforms taken by the Egyptian government have improved the economic performance and contributed to upping foreign investments and employment rates especially in light of the digital transformation bids and mechanization initiatives.
Meanwhile, the Kazakh ambassador praised the level of cooperation between his country and Egypt especially that the number of Kazakh tourists who are visiting Egypt annually reached to more than 150,000.
He also affirmed that his country is seeking to enlarge its spheres of cooperation with Egypt to benefit from the investment opportunities in the two countries.
