Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed the state’s keenness on developing various economic zones, especially areas inked to the Suez Canal Corridor due to its strategic importance, together with providing various capabilities and services in all key economic areas to enhance ability to attract more investments in different sectors, create more employment opportunities and support exports.
During a tour Thursday of a number of industrial projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, accompanied by the Minister of Transport, Kamel Al-Wazir and Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Walid Gamal El-Din, the prime minister said the visit will include inspecting a number of heavy, medium and small industrial projects, with a view to promoting the state’s efforts to support productive investment projects.
Madbouli toured Ezz Steel Factory group of companies at the onset of his visit.
For his part, the SCZone chairman indicated that the second phase of the Ezz Steel Factory is an extension of the economic zone’s plans to localize targeted industrial sectors, especially since the Sokhna Industrial Zone is prepared to receive various types of industries.
Madbouli inspected the second phase of the Ezz company’s projects specializing in heavy industries, and was briefed on the development work of the group.
Sokhna Industrial Zone is prepared to receive various types of industries, especially heavy industries, through its infrastructure with international specifications and its location close to the New Administrative Capital, in addition to its integration with the Port of Sokhna, creates a window to global markets.
