Madbouli leads Egypt’s delegation at G20 Summit 1 - Egyptian Gazette

Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli took part, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in the opening session of the 2025 G20 Summit that kicked off Saturday morning in Johannesburg, South Africa, and runs through Sunday. 

The session was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelatty, Ambassador Sherif Kamel, the President’s Personal Representative to the G20 and BRICS and Assistant Foreign Minister for Multilateral Economic Affairs, and Egyptian Ambassador to South Africa Ahmed Ali Sherif.

The opening session commenced in the presence of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. 

Egypt was invited as a guest country to participate in this year’s G20 meetings. 

The 2025 G20 Summit is held under the theme “Solidarity, Equality, and Sustainability”.

Leaders participating in the summit will address number of challenges and opportunities, including food security, debt and climate transition, as well as enhancing partnerships between developing and developed countries.
