Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli lauded on Tuesday the important role of the sector of communications and information technology to improve all other sectors and achieve the dimensions of sustainable development in Egypt.
This came during Madbouli’s meeting with Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat to review some work files of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Talaat reviewed the efforts exerted by the ministry to improve the promising sector of technology in Egypt, pointing out that the ministry is keen on developing the strategies and visions in accordance with the national goals related to empowering the private sector and developing human abilities in addition to boosting international cooperation to exchange expertise.
During the meeting, Talaat asserted that the first the stage of the “national strategy for artificial intelligence” is about to end, adding that the second stage is being prepared to cope with the accelerating developments in the field of communications and information technology.
The ministry inked, in December, memorandums of understanding with 30 international and local companies to building the digital abilities of the youth working in the Digital Egypt Generations (DEG) initiatives, he said.
