Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the importance of expanding the application of “NAFEZA” System and the system of Advance Cargo information (ACI) regarding the two automated schemes’ role in advancing governing of foreign shipments measures.
During a meeting held Tuesday evening to follow up the situation of the National Single Window System for Foreign Trade in the ports and the ACI in the presence of Minister of Planning Hala el-Saeed, Minister of Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfik and Minister of Trade Nevine Gamea, the prime minister underlined the importance of incorporating the new systems in saving time and lowering cost, that would all help further regulate the importing system and ease pressure on hard currency.
The meeting tackled the executive situation of activating the ACI via the integrated information platform, in cooperation between the ministries of finance, trade and industry and Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
It also reviewed a sample for applying the system at Cairo International Airport.
NAFEZA is a National Single Window for Foreign Trade Facilitation launched in April 2021.
