PARIS – President Emmanuel Macron received his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the Élysée Palace on Thursday after his participation at the international Summit for a New Global Financing Pact hosted by France today and tomorrow under the theme : Building a new consensus for a more inclusive financial system.
Sisi was accorded a red carpet reception upon his arrival at the palace.
The two leaders’ talks, that will extend over a lunch banquet, will cover bilateral relations and issues tabled on the agenda of the global summit that aims to build a more responsive, fairer and more inclusive international financial system to fight inequalities, finance the climate transition, and bring countries of the world closer to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
