Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait asserted the state budget allocated more than EGP 768 billion to the National Authority for Social Insurance, that have been transferred in 52 months.
The move comes in implementation of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to support the insurance and pension system and solve financial entanglements with the authority, added Maait.
In a statement issued by the Finance Ministry Saturday, Maait added that “despite all domestic and external economic challenges, we will support the pension system with 202 billion Egyptian pounds during the current Fiscal Year.”
