All ballooning in the vicinity of Luxor has been suspended until the investigation by the Ministry of Civil Aviation into a collision has been completed.
A small number of balloons took off on Monday morning when the wind speed on the ground was three knots.
On reaching 60 metres up, the wind speed was 7 knots and one balloons collided with another, rupturing its skin.
The affected balloon, which was carrying 28 passengers, landed safely.
Two of the passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to the nearest hospital.
