Luxor International Airport received on Tuesday the first flight of the national air carrier EgyptAir coming from London’sHeathrow airport after a two-year hiatus.
According to EgyptAir’s statement, this comes as part of directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to activate tourism flow to Egypt and coincides with the participation of EgyptAir in the activities of the World Travel Market (WTM), which is being held in London on November 1-3.
EgyptAir chairman Amr Aboul-Enein said the Luxor-London line is scheduled to operate during the winter season, with a weekly flight on Boeing B737-800 planes, which can accommodate 140 passengers.
