Egypt’s Minister of Finance Mohamed Maeet said we are looking forward to further economic co-operation with the US.
The minister referred to the depth of strategic bilateral relations in different fields, affirming the interest of the state in intensifying efforts to increase investments between the two countries.
Maait made his remarks during his meeting with US Chargé d’Affaires to Cairo John P. Desrocher on Tuesday.
“We are calling on foreign investors, especially from the US, to make use of the promising investment opportunities in Egypt in manufacturing, digital transformation and infrastructure projects,” the minister said.
“Egypt has lately taken a series of measures to incentivise local and foreign investors to put their capital into development projects,” he added.
“These measures include the launch of the Golden License, the State Ownership Policy and the Initial Public Offerings (IPO) programme,” Maeet said.
“Egypt is committed to achieving financial discipline and reducing dept rates to less than 80 per cent by 2027, despite the subsequent global economic crises, which have hit emerging economies hard,” he added.
