The Egyptian Food Bank is to conduct vitamin D tests on 360 people in ten Ministry of Social Solidarity care homes in Cairo and Giza.
The aim of the Vitamin D programme is to reduce the incidence of osteoporosis bone-related injuries for the over 50s Egyptian Food Bank CEO Mohsen Sarhan announced yesterday.
The programme, to be implemented in cooperation with the Egyptian Academy for Bone Health, comes within the bank’s activities in preventive medicine.
