Veteran media host Laila Rostom passed away on Thursday at the age of 88.
Rostom worked for Egyptian TV during the 1960s.
In a statement, the National Media Authority mourned Rostom, describing her as one of the first generation of media professionals who delivered credible and exceptional journalism, contributing to shaping the culture and awareness of Egyptian and Arab audiences.
