CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Anani held a meeting on Thursday with his assistants responsible for hotels, shops and tourism activities to review regulations pertaining to a number of commercial and tourist activities in the coming period ahead of Eid El Fitr vaccation.

In statements, Anani asserted that all exceptional regulations pertaining to operation of hotels, tourist shops and restaurants will be applied during the coming two weeks and closure time is at 9 am.

He reiterated the need for abiding by all precautionary measures at all hotel facilities in order to curb the spread of coronavirus, adding that occupancy rates are at 50 percent only to safeguard the safety of customers and tourists.

The minister also noted that takeway service will be operational 24 hours, adding that wedding parties and other ceremonies will be restricted to open places with a maximum of 300 persons only
