CAIRO- The Long Live Egypt (Tahya Misr) Fund donated an $8-million Cardiac Catheterization device to the Cairo University’s Manial Specialized University Hospital, President of the Cairo University Mohamed Othman Elkhosht said in a statement Saturday.
The device has been delivered, installed and operated, he added.
Cairo University has made great achievements in the hospitals development project, which contributes to restructuring and equipping them with the latest medical devices, expertise, competencies, professors, as well as scientific and practical capabilities, according to the latest international standards, Elkhosht said.
The development project contributes to reducing waiting lists and providing the best healthcare services, he added.
In turn, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Hala Salah said the new device help the Manial Specialized University Hospital provide high-quality services to additional 100 patients monthly. (MENA)
