Cairo- Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbolui has issued decrees regarding public
holidays.
Labour Day on Saturday, May 1, and Coptic Easter, Monday May 3, will
both be paid official holidays in ministries and government departments, public
authorities, local administration, public sector companies and the private sector.
Sunday, May 2, will also be a day off.
Emergency workers and employees of transport services, water and sanitation
services and electricity are exempt.
Madbouli also issued a decree that Thursday, April 29 (today) is an official
holiday on the occasion of Sinai Liberation Day, instead of Sunday, April 25.
