Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Coptic Christian Pope Tawadross II Saturday on the occasion of Easter.
In a cable of greetings sent to the Pope, the president praised strong bonds and sincere feelings between Egypt’s Muslims and Christians, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
The president prayed that God will protect Egypt and its people and grant them peace and prosperity, Ambassador Radi said.
President Sisi also sent cables to Egypt’s Christian expatriates to congratulate them on the occasion of Easter, expressing his best wishes to them, the spokesman added
