Sung-ho Oh expressed his happiness at being appointed as the director of the Korean Cultural Center in Egypt; the cradle of human civilizations and multi-cultures.
He said it was fortunate that he had come to Egypt in conjunction with the Lunar New Year celebration, wishing everyone a happy year filled with joy and happiness.
Sung-ho expressed the hope that this year will see the end of the Coronavirus so that the Korean Cultural Center can resume face-to-face educational and cultural activities in Egypt.
In the coming period, he noted, he will seek to strengthen the pace of cultural exchange between South Korea and Egypt in an effort to enhance people to people relations between the two countries.
Currently, The Korean Cultural Centre is offering many on line cultural activities due to social distancing procedures. Last week the Center broadcasted series of videos on its YouTube channel to celebrate the “Seollal” Lunar New Year.
