ALEXANDRIA, Egypt – Egypt’s Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hani Sweilam said 38 per cent of a channel sending agricultural wastewater of western Delta to the Hammam wastewater treatment station was accomplished.
He made the remarks on Friday during a tour in Alexandria to inspect water and irrigation projects.
During the tour, he held a meeting with engineering, technicians and representatives of the company in charge of implementing the project.
He lauded the great efforts exerted in the project, encouraging those working on it to do their best.
He expounded that the project aims at reclaiming lands in Western Delta depending on treated agricultural wastewater.
The project is an example for wise management of water in Egypt and comprehensive development ventures.
