A ministry of planning delegation yesterday evaluated progress in technological centres in Aswan Governorate.
The delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in charge of the Localities Development Project visited several cities in Aswan Governorate and the town of Atfih in Giza Governorate to follow up the work of technological centres.
Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el-Said said her ministry’s role is developing the performance of government services, simplifying procedures to obtain them, and providing better and faster public services.
“This stems from the pillar of transparency and efficiency of government institutions in the sustainable development agenda Egypt Vision 2030,” el-Said said.
El-Said added that her ministry is keen to continue working in the technology centres in all governorates to overcome any obstacles to their progress, in addition to give training for centre workers to keep up-to-date with technological changes and to ease the switch to digitised operations as part of government digitisation programme.
Some 261 out of 307 technology centres nationwide have been digitized, the minister said.
The ministry delegation met with Deputy Governor of Aswan Ghada Abu Zeid, mayors and directors of engineering departments to present the project objectives and brief on system updates, notably in applications for reconciliation in cases of illegal building, closer control of financial transactions and the collection of installments.
The delegation also met with city leaders Kalabsha, Seba’a, el-Busayliyah, Rudisiyah, Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo to review data and to test candidates for training.
The selection process will continue in these cities on the applications until mid-April.
The delegation, led by Brigadier-General Sameh Zakaria, Director of the Localities Development Project at the Ministry visited the centre in Atfih, Giza Governorate to follow up the progress in training.
