Egypt’s Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad met Saturday with Robert Falk, CEO of Renergy Group Partners, Egypt’s partner in constructing the first waste-to-energy station in the Giza area of Abu Rawash.
The meeting was held at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The two sides discussed measures to boost mutual cooperation in project implementation and the prospect of collaboration in reproducing the experience.
The minister applauded the company’s position as the first private sector partner in initiating such a project in Egypt, as well as its employees’ dedication, devotion, and hard work in bringing the initiative, which is the first of its type, to fruition.
Egypt intends to promote investment in waste management in the coming period because of its environmental, social and economic benefits, she added.
