President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued Presidential Decree No. (575) of 2025 appointing Engineer Helmy Gawish, Chairman of El-Gawish Group, as a member of the Egyptian Senate among a list of 100 distinguished figures recognized for their expertise and achievements.
Engineer Helmy Gawish, Chairman of El-Gawish Group, expressed his deep pride and gratitude for the trust placed in him by President El-Sisi through this appointment, affirming that this honor represents a national duty and a great responsibility that requires utmost effort to contribute to Egypt’s ongoing journey of construction and development.
“The current stage calls for concerted efforts between state institutions, the private sector, and civil society,” Gawish said, “to further strengthen the remarkable achievements realized under President El-Sisi’s leadership across various fields — from the economy and infrastructure to social development and youth empowerment.”
Gawish praised the unprecedented progress achieved in urban development during President El-Sisi’s tenure, noting that Egypt’s launch of new cities such as the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein, and New Mansoura, along with comprehensive upgrades to the nation’s road networks and infrastructure, reflect a visionary leadership that is building the present while shaping a more prosperous future for coming generations.
Regarding his agenda for the upcoming period in the Senate, Gawish stated that he intends to present several initiatives aimed at stimulating both local and foreign investment, supporting the business environment, empowering young talents, and expanding community participation in the development process. He emphasized his commitment to being a voice that reflects citizens’ aspirations and supports the state’s plans for economic and social reform.
He further stressed the importance of strengthening grassroots engagement through direct communication with citizens and listening to their needs and suggestions, in order to enhance mutual trust between the people and the state and to reinforce the principles of shared responsibility and active participation in building a better future for Egypt.
Gawish concluded by saying, “The coming phase requires national awareness and collective effort to preserve the achievements realized so far and to continue the path of development under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi — ensuring greater stability and prosperity for our beloved Egypt.”
