The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) said Wednesday that Egyptian exports to COMESA countries increased by 10.9 per cent in 2022 reaching 3.4 billion dollars up from 3.1 billion dollars in the year before.
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the COMESA rose by about 20.4 per cent during 2022, recording 5.3 billion dollars compared with 4.4 billion dollars in 2021.
Meanwhile, COMESA imports to Egypt amounted to 1.9 billion dollars last year up from 1.3 billion dollars in 2021, CAPMAS said, noting that this is a 42.4-per cent increase.
