The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said Egypt’s population hit 105.250 million at home on Sunday, up from 105 million in June 3.
The population has made a notable growth by 250,000 within 57 days, the CAPMAS added.
Cairo governorate ranked as the most populous city with 10.3 inhabitants, followed by Giza governorate where 9.5 million people live, then Sharqiya governorate with 7.9 million and Dakahliya governorate with 7.1 million.
According to the CPAMAS, the population in Behira governorate stands at 6.9, 6.3 million in Minya governorate , 6.1 million in Qalubiya governorate, 5.7 million in Sohag governorate, 5.6 million in Alexandria governorate and 5.4 million in Gharbia.
