Boosting co-operation with IATA

Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas met on Thursday Kamil Al-Awadhi, the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA)  Regional Vice-President for Africa and Middle East (AME).

The meeting, which was attended by Mohamed Lotfy, IATA Regional Director for North Africa, dealt with ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Civil Aviation, its subsidiaries and IATA.

The two sides discussed means to  support co-operation  in exchange of experiences, training, information, as well as technical aspects.

During the meeting, the developments witnessed by the civil aviation sector in Egypt and the region were reviewed in light of the challenges facing the aviation industry and its negative repercussions on global air traffic.

The talks covered a number of international issues related to the air transport sector, especially the areas of security and safety of aviation and airports.
