Egypt’s Agriculture Minister Sayyed Quseir had talks on Wednesday with Qatari Ambassador to Egypt Salem Bin Mubarak Al Shafi on means of boosting agricultural co-operation between the two sides.
The two sides tackled means of boosting investment in livestock, fishery, poultry and dairy domains as well as increasing trade exchange of agricultural crops.
Quseir stressed that Egyptian agricultural exports have witnessed an unprecedented leap, noting that there is a great chance for a large number of Egyptian agricultural products to find their way into the Qatari market.
He noted that Egypt has taken major steps towards improving the investment climate, especially in the agricultural domain.
For his part, the Qatari ambassador said Egypt has an investment-attractive climate, especially in light of the reforms carried out by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
He said there is a great chance for investment in a large number of sectors.
The two sides agreed to prepare a cooperation protocol and a memo to be signed as soon as possible.
