Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah Eddin toured yesterday two military factories in Helwan: the Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company (Military Factory 999) and the Helwan Engineering Industries Company (Military Factory 99).
The minister met with employees of the Helwan Machinery and Equipment Company to discuss their living conditions and assess the progress of production.Salah Eddin has stressed the importance of improving employee performance through scientific research and increasing local production capabilities.
He toured several production lines, i.e. smart electricity meters, water meters, prepaid gas meters, and rolling equipment used in various national projects.The minister also visited Helwan Engineering Industries Company, where he inspected the piston production line, a critical component for both military and civilian vehicles, and other production lines supporting the armed forces.
Throughout the tours, Salah Eddin ensured workers were adhering to occupational safety standards, including using protective gear, highlighting the ministry’s commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and minimising risks to personnel and equipment.
