The Ministry of Local Development and Environment said Minister Manal Awad received a report on Saturday about unstable weather across governorates. The report came from the National Emergency Network Control Center and the Crisis Management Center. It followed warnings from the Meteorological Authority about strong winds and dust in several areas.
The report explained that the ministry directed the emergency control center to coordinate with governorates. Teams are checking reported damage, such as fallen trees, billboards, or buildings, and taking quick action to keep roads clear and protect citizens.
The ministry confirmed that the emergency network and crisis center are monitoring the situation in real time through links with local operation rooms. Minister Awad instructed governorates to keep maximum readiness in all districts and respond quickly to rainwater or storm impacts.
She stressed the importance of activating crisis rooms, receiving citizen reports, and cooperating with local units and other agencies to remove storm debris from highways and city roads.
The ministry urged citizens to stay away from light poles, billboards, and trees, and to drive carefully until weather improves. It added that monitoring systems are working continuously to ensure fast response in coordination with governorates and executive bodies.
