CAIRO – Chairman for the General Authority of Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Walid Gamal el-Din announced the success of the SCZONE to achieve total revenues of EGP 8.25 billion in the fiscal year 2023/2024 at a 36-percent increase from the fiscal year 2022/2023 where it achieved total revenues worth EGP 6.07 billion.
In a statement on Thursday, the SCZONE said that this came during Gamal el-Din’s presiding over a board meeting of the SCZONE on the new fiscal year 2024/2025.
The meeting discussed the financial and promotional situation of the SCZONE in 2023/2024 in addition to the board’s approval to new projects implemented in the coming stage in the industrial zones and ports.
The meeting was held in presence of ministers of transport and industry, planning and international cooperation, trade and investments and housing in addition to the governors of Port Said, Suez and Ismailia.
Gamal el-Din said that the SCZONE achieved a surplus of LE5.42 billion in the fiscal year 2023/2024 with a 33-per cent increase compared to last year.
