CAIRO – Egyptian Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said Thursday a new LE1.9-billion tranche is set to be given for 560 exporting companies under the seventh phase of the immediate cash payment initiative meant to support exporters.
The total number of companies benefiting from the initiative of this phase increased to 1,590 companies, while the total export support hit some EGP13 billion during the period from June to August 2024.
The minister added that such steps have been taken by the state to support exporters and provide more cash liquidity in light of the current economic challenges to increase exports and strengthen competitiveness of national products in the global markets.
