Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el-Saeed and Minister of Manpower Hassan Shehata met on Monday to review labour policies.
Discussions also focused on ways to achieve maximum benefit from human resources in the administrative apparatus of the government.
The two officials also discussed the need to diversify sources of jobs for young people and to give the private sector and its employee due attention in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The political leadership supports workers in all state sectors with a series of measures to face the impacts of global crises, Shehata said.
The government has taken a series of measures to raise living standards for workers in recent years, Shehata added, underscoring his ministry’s keenness to implement all policies related to working conditions and safety.
The minister stressed that the state will provide all forms of support for seasonal and casual workers under directives from President Sisi, Shehata said.
