Labour Minister Mohamed Gobran met with members of the Egyptian community in northern Italy at the end of his official visit to the country.The meeting, hosted by Egyptian Consul General in Milan Walid Osman, highlighted Egypt’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to its citizens abroad.
Osman highlighted efforts to update consular services, including a new app allowing Egyptians in Italy book appointments and access service details more easily.
Gobran reviewed his visit results, including plans to reestablish agreements for sending Egyptian workers to Italy and initiatives to provide safe, well-trained employment opportunities.
The minister also addressed community concerns regarding labor rights and ways to boost Egyptian workforce participation in Italy, alongside potential investment opportunities in Egypt.
