The Egyptian Labor Ministry is about to implement directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to establish a fund for irregular workers, affirmed minister Hassan Shehata.
The ministry plays a crucial role in implementing the State’s plan of social protection, he further said during a press conference held on Sunday, on the sidelines of a training course organized in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Cairo.
During the conference, the minister referred to the vital role played by the media in supporting development.
He also hailed the role of the various media outlets in shedding light on the labor file and promoting for the various initiatives.
He pointed out that the ministry aims to implement 655 vocational training courses during the 2023-2024 plan, adding that the ministry has nine labor representation offices abroad, which aim at caring and protecting employees abroad.
