KUWAIT CITY – Kuwaiti newspapers shed light Monday on President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s statements during his meeting with Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim, asserting the special and historic relations binding Egypt and Kuwait.
“Annahar Newspaper” wrote under the headline “El Sisi: Special historic relations between Egypt and Kuwait” that President Sisi received al-Ghanim Sunday at Al-Ittihadiya Presidential Palace.
According to the paper, al-Ghanim conveyed greetings of Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah to the Egyptian president, along with their wishes of continued success and progress for Egypt, as well as keenness on further promoting Egyptian-Kuwait cooperation ties.
Meantime, “AlQabas” Newspaper, wrote under the title “El Sisi receiving al-Ghanim: Our ties with Kuwait historic.”
President Sisi entrusted the Kuwaiti parliament speaker with conveying his greetings to the Kuwait leadership, the paper added.
