LONDON – King Charles III thanked the Egyptian leadership and people for the sincere feelings and support they have shown to the UK after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
This came during Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli’s participation, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in a reception ceremony held for world leaders and senior delegates who are participating in the late queen’s funeral.
The king expressed his wishes for more stability and development for Egypt, while Madbouli conveyed Sisi’s hopes for more advancement and prosperity to the UK.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Madbouli met his UK counterpart Liz Truss and wished her success in her new post. Truss thanked the Egyptian premier, telling him she is looking forward to working together to enhance bilateral relations in the upcoming period.
