SEOUL – Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is participating in the Egyptian International Air Show (EIAS) held in El Alamein, Egypt, to expand its marketing activities in Africa and the Middle East markets.

The airshow takes place from September 3 to 5, featuring over 200 companies from more than 80 countries and showcasing more than 50 types of civilian and military aircraft.

At the exhibition, KAI is showcasing its key aircraft, including the multi-role fighter FA-50, next-generation fighter KF-21, Light Armed Helicopter (LAH), and Surion.

Additionally, it is unveiling the next-generation air combat system (NACS) based on Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUMT), which includes an Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV), Advanced Armed Drone (AAP), and Aerial Launched UAV (ALE), Korea IT Times reported.

A highlight of the exhibition is the installation of an FA-50 simulator, which will provide air force representatives from Africa and the Middle East with a hands-on flight experience, showcasing the FA-50’s exceptional flight capabilities.

Through this opportunity, KAI plans to emphasize the FA-50’s advantages as an optimal solution for pilot training and multi-role combat missions.

KAI plans to introduce the reliability and scalability of its aerospace platforms to key stakeholders from Nigeria, Botswana, Qatar, and Iraq, exploring new business opportunities in these regions.

“Egypt will serve as a vital hub for the African and Middle Eastern markets,” said Kang Goo-young, the President of KAI. “We will drive business success through the superior performance of the FA-50 and various defense collaborations between Korea and Egypt.”
