Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine Kabbag commended the position of the political leadership on the crisis in Gaza in order to protect the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.
She as well hailed the strong support offered by all state institutions including the Egyptian Red Crescent and the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) and the Egyptian people to the Gaza Strip.
Minister Kabbag and Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat held an expanded meeting with representatives of UN agencies in Egypt to coordinate efforts aimed at providing assistance for Gaza.
The meeting with the international partners aimed at coordinating efforts to ensure the safe delivery of urgent humanitarian and relief aid to Gazans in cooperation with ERC.
Participants also agreed on a specific mechanism for information circulation, in addition to the regulation of assistance along with ensuring its immediate and safe delivery to the Gaza Strip.
