CAIRO – The Journalists Syndicate welcomed a decree issued on Friday by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to pardon journalist Hisham Fouad.
In a statement, the syndicate thanked President Sisi, who has pardoned five journalists since the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Such decrees put into force the Egyptian State’s vision of the New Republic that promotes rights and freedoms and implements the human rights strategy, the statement read.
They also proves the Egyptian State’s true intentions to release more journalists, who are not involved in terrorist operations, it added.
