AMMAN – The Partners Meeting to Support the Implementation of the Palestinian National Employment Strategy (NES) kicked off Thursday in Jordan, with the participation of Egypt’s Manpower Minister Hassan Shehata.
The Egyptian minister’s participation came upon an invitation from the Palestinian labor minister.
During the meeting, Palestinian Minister of Labour Nasri Abu Jaish drew attention to the crucial role played by the joint Arab action in order to implement such strategy.
Today’s meeting is held in light of difficult circumstances gripping Palestine due to the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, he further said.
He, meanwhile, pointed out to the partners’ role in holding this crucial meeting.
He also extended thanks and gratitude to Jordan for hosting the meeting.
The meeting seeks to chart a path to job opportunities and gainful employment for Palestinian women and men, especially youth, according to the website of the Palestinian Ministry of Labor.
