The joint Egyptian-Turkish air exercise Anatolian Eagle 2026 has concluded following several days of intensive training at a Turkish airbase.
The exercise brought together the air forces of Egypt, Türkiye and Azerbaijan, alongside the participation of a NATO Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft.
Commander of the Egyptian Air Force Lieutenant General Amr Saqr, Head of the Armed Forces Training Authority Major General Sherif El-Araishi, and a number of senior military commanders representing the participating nations attended the closing ceremony.
Throughout the exercise, multi-role fighter aircraft carried out a series of joint operational sorties designed to enhance interoperability and operational readiness.
Training activities included simulated strikes against hostile targets, the defence of vital assets, counter-drone operations, aerial interception missions, air-to-air refuelling, and the provision of close air support to ground forces.
The exercise highlighted the precision, professionalism and operational competence demonstrated by the participating pilots.
Anatolian Eagle 2026 forms part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ programme of joint exercises with brotherly and friendly nations, reflecting the commitment of Egypt and Türkiye to strengthening military co-operation, exchanging operational expertise, and further enhancing the combat capabilities and operational readiness of the Egyptian and Turkish air forces.
