The Italian media has highlighted Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy Bassam Radi’s statements on major achievements and development projects being carried out in Egypt.
He said that these achievements are in conformity with the highest global digital standards and specifications.
He referred to the construction of the New Administrative Capital as a promising future for Egypt. The modern smart city is being built over a stretch of 28 miles, which is equal to the size of Singapore.
He said that the new capital includes governmental, financial and residential neighbourhoods. It also contains the largest mosque in the region, as well as the largest cathedral in the Middle East, the city of culture and arts, the Olympic city of Egypt, and the diplomatic district.
It is one of the developed fourth generation cities and is connected to all parts of the Republic with the latest means of modern transportation, according to Radi.
He said that the New Administrative Capital represents the launch of the second republic and the modern state under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Radi said that Egypt has made great reinvigoration in tourism in terms of the increase in charter flights to new destinations across the country and the increase in the number of tourists, expected to reach nearly 15 million by this year-end.
He referred to the ongoing preparations for the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, along with a series of other new museums and tourist destinations such as New Galala and New Alamein city.
