CAIRO – Egyptian Irrigation Minister Hany Sweilam chaired a meeting with senior officials Sunday to review measures ahead of the season of maximum water needs.
The meeting with the Ministry officials focused on the current water situation across Egypt.
Participants discussed reporters by technical, financial and administrative inspectors concerning the disinfection of canals and drains in all governorates.
They also probed a plan by the central administration to maintain waterways.
The minister directed heads of central departments in all governorates to follow up the disinfection of the canals and get firsthand information about the process.
