Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Atti on Thursday met with a number of members of the scientific committee of the Cairo Water Week (CWW) to discuss final preparations for holding the event.
Abdel Atti thanked the committee members for their outstanding efforts to review and assess various scientific researches submitted this year.
Some researches will be presented at CWW4, slated for October 24-28 under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
This year’s week is themed “water, population and global changes..challenges and chances.”
This important event will be held at an important time, when the State is paying great attention to the file of water and placing it at the top of the political agenda.
Water is vital for sustainable economic and social development.
The CWW also emanates from Egypt’s pivotal regional role in the Arab and African regions.
The Week aims at reaching sustainable solutions to managing water resources to face overpopulation and global changes.
