CAIRO – Egypt’s Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hany Souliam asserted the importance of guaranteeing water sustainable management in Africa through investing in infrastructure and governance as well as enhancing societal participation, international cooperation and exchange of experience.
This came in his speech during the concluding session of the 13th round of the general assembly of the African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW).
In his speech, he urged all members and partners to provide resources required and entrench links and institutional partnerships that will help to implement the general assembly’s resolutions in order to achieve the 20230 water in Africa vision and sustainable development goals.
He also invited the attendees to participate in the 6th round of the Cairo Water Week to be held from October 29 until November 2.
